When It’s A Tree
I was looking at the ticket punch and wondering what you could do with that tiny little ticket. I started punching tickets out of scrapes of silver glimmer paper…the tickets looked like little bricks. From there I tried to build a wall using the traditional brick pattern…it was OK…but this tree is better. I used Whisper White for the card and the first layer, then a little border of Gumball Green around the Cherry Cobbler…built the tree and topped it with a star. The Merry Christmas is from the Come to Bethlehem Stamp Set.
Very graphic and simple!
Serene Silhouettes, Summer Silhouettes and Greetings of the Season Stamp Sets
The roots of the bush are the flower stem from Summer Silhouettes turned upside down and the bush with the beautiful red birds is from Serene Silhouettes. The greeting is from Stampin’ Up new Holiday Catalog…four greetings written in lovely fonts. The greeting, birds and frame are all Cherry Cobbler red. Stampin’ Up does a great job of color coordination. If you are working on a project i.e. Christmas cards and run out of ribbon there is always more available.
The Greetings of the Season Stamp Set is available from my Online Store just click here and you can order your set just in time for Christmas Card Making.
This card is as close as we get to beautiful fall leaves here in Central Florida. I used French Foliage SS and markers to color the stamps. I know the Rich Razzleberry ribbon is retired but I couldn’t resist using it…so perfect for this card. I folded the tails of the ribbon over the horizontal ribbon so I would not have a big bump and the button would sit flat on the card. The insert for this card is decorated with a single leaf. The stamp is available on the USPS website. Happy Birthday Linda!
Don’t you love the neat label shapes on this card. I am good with scissors…well not exactly. The labels were cut with Stampin’ Ups new Edgelets and Framelits Dies. We now have a number of these sets which coordinate with our new Stamp Sets. The flower stamp on this card is from our Apothecary Art Stamp Set.
