Perfect Quick Photo Backgrounds

If you need a quick and good base and background on which to photograph your projects with your iPhone i.e. smartphone or iPad, I came up with this solution. Use two pieces of card stock or patterned paper. Lay one sheet against the screen of your laptop and one across the keyboard. You can then balance your camera, phone or iPad on the table. I used this method to photograph the birthday card shown in this post. I found the layout for the card on the internet. Thank you very much for the use of your sketch.

You can choose the color(s) that best shows off your project. The photos show the same card photographed on different colors and patterns. The card stock or Designer Series Paper (DSP) is not damaged and is ready for another project. You can also angle your laptop screen to the best angle for your photo.

When Is A Ticket Not A Ticket…

When It’s A Tree

Ticket Christmas Tree

I was looking at the ticket punch and wondering what you could do with that tiny little ticket. I started punching tickets out of scrapes of silver glimmer paper…the tickets looked like little bricks. From there I tried to build a wall using the traditional brick pattern…it was OK…but this tree is better. I used Whisper White for the card and the first layer, then a little border of Gumball Green around the Cherry Cobbler…built the tree and topped it with a star. The Merry Christmas is from the Come to Bethlehem Stamp Set.

Very graphic and simple!
